Tebow leads on and off the field...

If you've ever played a sport where the sun or stadium lights are in your eyes, you've probably worn 'eye black'. In the last year or so teams have replaced the old runny mascara look for a more polished sticker that athletes wear under their eyes. With that, many of the players have decided to get creative and add a bit of personal flare to their 'uniform' look.

I first noticed it when I saw Ohio State Quarterback Terrelle Pryor sporting the verse Phil 3:14 (not to be confused with 4:13) which is: "I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

With all the buzz about the SEC and now, with the Gators clinching the National Championship win against the Sooners, Tim Tebow has, for some time been the center of attention in many ways in the eyes of fans and the media. Aside from the call for unsportsmanlike conduct in the final minutes of last night's game, even the sports commentators told of his countless missions of mercy, his heart, and there have been other stories that have run about the simplest of changes... the bible verse on his eye black.

Tebow used to sport Phil 4:13 "I can do everything through him who gives me strength." but lately has worn John 3:16 as he did during last night's win.

Frankly... its great that in a sport that often glorifies self especially at a time in someone's life when it *could* be all about 'me, me, me' Tebow seems to lead by example on and off the field. We all could use a role model like this.

Thanks for stopping by...
